I see no point in Tweeting your location throughout the day. Who cares that you were at the 7-11 ten minutes ago and now you are at the dry cleaners? These Tweets have a link that brings up a map pinpointing your location. I’m talking about apps or widgets such as Foursquare. People complain about Google’s visual mapping of the planet, yet they send Twitter messages about every move they make. This is craziness!
I don’t want you to know that I am writing this blog from a certain coffee shop in the north end of Tacoma. What a great way to keep the stalkers updated, huh? A clever web gadget that will be used by thousands of people until everyone becomes bored with it and it disappears. I can’t wait.
Are you so important that anyone cares to know your every move throughout the day? Just have your entourage carry a webcam and capture it all on streaming video. I think that is a better idea.
